  1. I used Rejig to demux a movie clip into its video, sound, and subtitle parts. All went well until I had to author the DVD with the subtitles. I use either DVDMaestro or DVDAuthor to insert the subtitles, but DVDMaestro does not accept the .SUP format. I then used DVDSupTools to convert the subtitles to .BMP files. I thought I could use SubRip to convert these .BMP files to text (.SRT), but I was wrong.

Can anyone point out a link or tell me which application can do this conversion ? I think that converting to text is a great idea as I can correct misspellings and "unnatural" vocabulary that may appear either from bad translation or regional accent.

    Thanx in advance.

  3. Baldrick,
You see, I've been searching for a solution and no one has ever solved it accordingly. In my specific case, Rejig dumps either a .SUB or .SUP and I can use neither. Subrip is the devil, but it does not take subtitles say of one single chapter. The only solution is to Subrip the subtitles to .SRT, edit and take the subtitles I want and save them in another file, use SubResync to resynchronize but with Rejig .TXT file information on the subtitles. That is, I will have to rip the subtitles twice (with Subrip and Rejig), edit the .SRT file and resync the new file prior to being able to use it.

I found no other solution on the web so far.

Thanx anyway. One more question : what is the use of the .SUB file Rejig saves for subtitle if I cannot load it in any program ?

  7. Hola, ticos2000!
You can convert .SRT or .SUB using the program Subtitle Workshop. Look for it in the tools section.
My problem was solved after I started to try to think a bit

DirectVobSub can load the .IDX files and save them as .SRT and then you can use Subtitle Workshop to convert to a format that Vegas understands.
