    never had this happen, what could it be?

    Restart your computer. I've had it say that it cant output some files that it should, too, similar to this error. Restarting my computer, or sometimes even just closing, and re-opening TMPG has solved it. You're using 3.0 XPress, right?

    Got the same problem this morning, so I don't think it's a matter of rebooting...

    Are you overclocking any of your hardware? If so, try setting it back to its rated speed and try again.
