  1. Hey Everyone!

Hope ya'll doing great on your products! ^u^ I am new in SVCD but I made an excellent quality of a movie today. I tested it with a CD-RW onto my Pioneer DV-434. My situation here is whenever I scan (fast-forward or backward), the audio is gone. However, I could scan (fast-forward or backward) slowly with the 1/2 speed. The only method to recover the audio is by restarting the movie.

I made many VCD and XVCD but none had any problems. I used the same method of making VCD onto SVCD but with different template (MPEG2) and bitrate. Do SVCD have an extra step in the audio department that I missed? Please help!!!

  2. Pioneers seem to do this if the mpeg isn't muxed correctly...I suspect you are using TMPGEnc to encode your video. If so, de-mux and re-mux using bbMPEG, and ff/rw will work just fine. (It will also fix a/v sync issues with entrypoints).

  3. kinneera,

Thanks for your prompt reply and suggestion. I also learnt something new from you. I just figured out the problem. I had it under "MPEG2-Program (VBR)" when it suppose to be "MPEG2-SVCD(VBR)". Everything went well now. Thanks again. Jordan
