I just got some Velocity DVD+R 8X from Amazon for $26.99 shipped. They are Prodisc S03 if anyone is interested.

Forgot to add that they have some DVD-R 4X inkjet printables for the same price. Don't know what the media code is, didn't order them but thought about it. I wasn't ready to gamble that much, not knowing for sure if they were hub printable or not.

  4. I bought a 25 pack of these discs from Amazon and they were Optodisc OR8 media code, I despise Optodisc, I've had VERY bad luck with them. I've burned a couple of these and they had decent PI/PO tests and played OK, but I don't trust them one bit, not to mention they had visible flaws in the dye. It looked like smudges, for lack of a better description.

I've heard of others getting Optodisc in the 25 packs, although I'm not sure if I've heard of anyone getting Optodisc in the 100 packs. Either way, consider yourself warned (If they are prodiscs, it is a pretty good deal though).

    These are OPTODISC +R media.

PRODISCS03 is DVD-R media, not +R. I can only hope nobody bought these thinking they were PRODISC. If so, go cancel. Considering you have to use 2-3 to get a single good burn (usually, unless you're lucky), the "deal" is more like 75 cents per disc, in the end. Not to mention wasted burn time.

  8. People have gotten MCC and Prodisc media codes as well, so it's just a matter of how lucky you're feeling I guess. I think that the 100 packs in particular used to be mostly Prodisc media, but I don't think that that can be counted on anymore.

snoland - it sounds like the ones you've ordered recently are Prodisc - are you just assuming this, or have you received them and checked their media code?
