For bonus points, how many of these "god monsters"

  22. Sorry thebomb. The answer was Raven, one of the
    twelve Rakshasa's or devil manflesh-eaters.

    HORROR IN THE HEIGHTS

In Chicago's Heights district, elderly Jewish citizens are found dead, stripped to the bone, apparently by rats. Kolchak pins the killings on a rakshasa, a Hindu demon that entrances its victims by taking the form of the person they trust most.

Kolchak consults an elderly rakshasa hunter, who entrusts him with the only thing that can kill the rakshasa: crossbow bolts blessed by a priest of Brahma. However, to defeat the creature Kolchak must bring himself to shoot whoever it is that he trusts the most — and pray that it's the rakshasa and not the real person when he does.
