    46 kb/s (or Kb/s) = 368 kilobits per second on dsl.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Every transfer rate I have ever seen has always denoted the difference between kilobit and kilobyte by capitilization of the B for Kilobyte and lowercase for kilobit.

    46 KB/s = 368 kbps

    or

    46 kb/s = 5.75 KB/s

The /s or ps are interchangeable, at least from all of the pages I have seen.

Thanks for clearing that up coalman; some people are still confused about B (Byte) and b (Bit). So when one posts something like 46Kbps (46 kilobits) I'm sure they mean 46KB/s (46 kilobytes); 46KB/s is way faster than 46Kbps. thecoalman

    Who are you talking to?

I have a download manager that displays the speed.
I was basically addressing you (and anyone else who listed download speeds). Sorry I did not make that clear. I was just wondering how (everyone) came up with their speeds. (I'm sort of a freeware/tool junkie. :P )

That said, I have 3Mb Cable down, and I max downloads at about 240kB.
