What's the point of OT now?

@Capmaster, no mods allowed as they would just spoil the fun :P

I don't know. Rob's site really works well without mods, and the only ban I ever saw was Mr. Moody. At the same time, I don't want to be god (in lower case to not infer religion). I realize I would still be able to pull the plug whenever I wanted, but 1 or 2 mods just to calm things down if it got too rowdy might not be bad.

Just a place to clown around. No themes are really needed. Between Rob and Balders, most things are covered. I might have to implement a "No Star Wars" policy though....

a) I did start one of my own. It's currently three pages, so someone is interested in it. Of course, the Calypso crap was far bigger.

b) If I were at all entertaining, I would have real friends, and wouldn't need to hang around an Off Topic forum day and night, would I? If you don't know the answer, ask yoda.

c) If you started a Calypso or "Would You Date A ...." thread, you should issue yourself a warning for each one.

If you were responsible for some of the really crappy ones I've mentioned, next time you get the urge to post one, send me a PM, I have plenty of spare silverware and flashlights. :P

The OT forum is simply entertainment.

We are all fairly intelliegent people, most of us work or go to school, and yet we come here during work hours...why? Because we get bored at work or with work. Coming here allows each of us to interact with other intelligent people and engage in intellectual sparing, humor and debates.

I know for me personally, there is only so much interaction I can take with kids before going completely crazy. I swear if the same kid comes in to my first peroid class today and then tells me he needs to go get his Geometry book, like he has for the past 5 days in a row, I'm going to go catatonic.

Precisely why I adhere to a "never start a topic" rule. I may contribute greatly to the demise of a topic or thread, but I can never be accused of starting it!!

Actually we had Panda Express and I had the orange chicken & mandarin chicken with sauce. I normally wouldn't eat there because there are better asian restaurants, but we didn't feel like sitting down and didn't feel like waiting for take out/delivery at another place.

I made the comment because I knew those were old. If they were in your freezer, you'd probably want to throw them out and defrost your freezer. I could imagine a large deepfreeze with only a 1 cubic foot of space due to massive frost of over 30 years accumulation.
