It's the chick from Corina Corina, isn't it?

Yeah, she also was the little girl with the map in Waterworld and her latest was the NBC version of Alice in Wonderland, though that was like 4 years ago or something.

Is it just me or did anyone else think Tina Majorino (Deb) was pretty cute?
Anyways I vote Napoleon Dynamite best flick of the
year (2004).
I also loved Kung Pow... furry numchucks -
I was going to get it but the guy at the video store told me it was like a Dumb and Dumber-er type flick so I passed.

That is a funny film - have you only just seen it 'cause I first saw that years ago.
It was a straight to video release (no cinema) and I had to beg my local video store to get it in it was so
poorly rated and bizzarely expensive ($39 AUS dollars)

Another movie I really liked and many others did not
was Amercian Splendor. Have you seen that VCDHunter? -
I'll weigh in on the positive side, I thought it was really funny.
but I can totally understand why it's so polarizing - you either love it or hate it. and it's not funny in an Austin Powers / Farrelly Brothers broad sort of way.
"Napoleon... let me have some of your tots!"
"Get your own tots!"
and so you can hear some of the inflection :

The movie about Harvey Pekar? That one was pretty funny. Paul Giamatti filled that role perfectly, though I don't think there were any weak performances unless you count the real people themselves, but then I don't think you can really say they weren't acting their part

I'd say just rent it and give it a try. If you don't like it then you're only out ~$3. -

Back on topic, I enjoyed the movie. I laughed at some parts and some parts were just laughable. I'm still a little foggy on the setting. Is it supposed to be the 80s or just some town trapped in the 80s. With the exception of the chat room thing (and yes, I know it's not new), I can't say that I saw much that would lead me to believe it wasn't the 80s.Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
