i want to convert a movie from a video cassatte to a DVD. i have IEEE1394 buss controller in my MB.

so what is the best way to hook my VCR to mt PC for a DVD production?

The 1394 connection won't help much unless you have an analog to digital converter like a ADVC-100 or a camcorder with DV and passthrough.

From your computer specs it appears you have a video card that has TVIO that you should be able to connect the video out and sound from your VCR to your computer and capture video with that.

yea but the problem with the Vivo i cant capture video smoothly. when i capture video i have always problems with the fps and bitrates...i guess due to the capability of the vivo.
