I have tried everything and nothing seems to work.
    Please help.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a good camera is worth about a thousand bucks.

    Could you elaborate on "everything"?

I just converted an avi with MSmpeg4 video and pcm audio last night with ffmpegX. I had to use the DVD(mpeg2enc) preset instead of the DVD(ffmpeg) preset, and I also had to switch from decoding with QT to decoding with mplayer. The audio came out with a mangled name, but renaming it back to mpa seemed to work fine (it plays in QT player at least).

That's an odd question. You don't want AIFF for a video DVD and you don't want AC-3 except for a video DVD. So what is the reason you're trying to convert the PCM audio?

There are lots of audio applications that will resample PCM 48 khz audio to AIFF's 44.1 khz. It takes an AC-3 encoding application to convert to AC-3.

Hey Frobozz, I want to convert it to aiff then from aiff to ac3 because DVDSP3 won't accept pcm. And because ac3 's are much smaller files, leaving more room for video.

AIFF from PCM may be helpful, too.
