Total newbie in burning needs help

Im running a pentium 3 733mhz 128mb ram and I have nero 5.5 as well as cdrwin and ez cd creator4(not deluxe) under windows Me.I have been trying to use nero 5.5 to burn video cd's and everytime I do it starts to encode the session and right now its 25 mins into session and at 6 or 7% im not sure if im going about this right but its gonna take forever to burn this movie and am wondering if there is a faster way to go about this.As well as if theres better apps and im planning to play on a Pioneer 440

Why did you let Nero start encode your file in the first place?
Nero would only do that if you told it to Re-Encode your file, and that would happen only if your file was not Standard, which means wasn't encoded correctly.
