  1. I've burned bin&cue for years, but after reinstalling xp pro, i had forgotten exactly what i did to get Nero, or other bin&cue burning programs to recognize them.

When i recently made some bin&cue files for the first time since reinstalling, the cue file was just called "file", and had no extension.
If i remember right, i was supposed to right click the cue file, and click "open with" and click Nero, or whatever.
Well, i didn't do that this time.
What i did was, i changed the extension to .cue, thinking that i knew what i was doing, and now Nero still won't recognize it.
In Nero, after clicking "Recorder" then "Burn image" and browsing for the .cue file, i get an error screen that says:
"Cannot open the file C:\dump\******.bin", and i push ok, and get another error that says:
"An error occurred while loading the cue sheet file 'F:\******\*******.cue'. (Line 1)."
As you can see, the first one talks about my C: drive and the second one talks about my second hard drive, F:, which is where the actual file is.

All of my bin&cue files i've made are screwed up like this, as i assumed they would be, and i don't know how to fix this. It seems permanent, and it's driving me crazy.

System restore didn't help. I tried to do everything the original way that i thought i did last time i had to reinstall, and i got the same error's.

I've heard people say that i have to reinstall, which i will not do, but someone said something about using "Daemon tools", which i've used before, but not for this kind of stuff.

    Can anyone help? Thanks.

In the example you have above, it sounds like the .cue file is expecting the .bin file to be in C:\dump\.

You can verify this by opening the .cue file with notepad. There is a line that list the .bin file by name.
