    Hello people,

    I have couple movies in avi form and I have Pinnacle Studio 9.....unfortunately, my Pinnacle studio can't open those files to author into dvd.

    Can anybody help me?

    What do you do in order for pinnacle studio to import or open it to edit and author>

    Hi,
    I too have S9 and it will not import progressive scan mpegs..It only will accept interlaced scaned video..After the 9.1.2 patch they disabled that feature because of problems..You need to convert to non-progressive..

    AVI tells us nothing. First figure out what your files are and then check the S8 specs.

    AVIcodec will help id the format.

    Pinnacle will not open "type 1" DVAVIs, I know that much. Maybe that's the problem. If so, simply convert to type 2 and it will work fine (until it freezes up when you least expect it!)
