  1. In using TDA 1.6, I have not figured out how to:

Have a Main Menu, showing 2 "Titles", with selection of title 1 leading to a chapter menu for it, and selection of title 2 to begin playback of title 2 (since I don't want chapters in it - its short).

I do want a chapter menu for Title 1, which has several chapters.

I want NO chapter menu for Title 2 - just want it to start playing when
you select title 2 from the Main menu.

It always wants to assign a "chapter" menu to BOTH titles, even if you uncheck the "show chapter" selection in the menu you don't want (when burned, it has a blank menu for title 2 chapters).

    - Anybody know how, or know what I have missed ?

You know what, I tried to do the same thing you mention, and couldn't!!! I don't think there's a solution in DVD Author. BUT! All is not loss.
After authoring, you can change the navigation with PgcEdit, (or maybe even menuedit) so when you press the title2 button you go straight to title2 instead of the chapter menu for title 2.

If you want to learn more about this, post back.

  3. Thanks for the reply -

Yes, if its not possible from TDA, I would like to know how to do it with the apps you mention.

OK, you'll have to open your finished DVD in PgcEdit (free), and find the chapter menu for title 2 (the one you want to skip). YOu can use the preview to make sure that's the right one (hit the '`' key to preview a PGC).
It will simply be a matter of adding a precommand to the PGC (at the top of the precommands if there are any), to make it jump straight to the title..
    [30 03 00 00 00 01 00 00] 1 (JumpVTS_TT) Jump to TTN 1 in this VTS
(here I'm assuming it's title 1, you'll have to change that).

I can't be more detailed at this time, I have to run. Later today, I'll look at one of my authored DVD to see the structure, and I'll give your more detailed explanations to get the job done...
