    I have an external HP-7500 parallel. I also have an internal Digital Research DR-CDRW161040 internal drive IDE interface. Could I remove the external from it's case and put the internal in without any problems?

    If the External is a IDE to Parralel connection, yeah, you should have no problems, but I don't think you'll get the same recording speed, because Parallel isn't as fast as IDE!
