You evidently haven't looked too much. https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=15#15

Also, for Mac questions, you would be better off posting in the Mac forum here.

Demux the files, then. Get your audio.

Cinematize works great for this. It extracted the audio track from an MTR-ripped music DVD by saving each chapter as a separate AIFF file. I then used Jam to burn an audio CD from those tracks. Jam made it easy to exclude the talking parts of the live concert and to crossfade the applause so you couldn't hear where the edits were made.

The fastest way to get a song off of a DVD is Audio Hijack.

How is a real time audio capture faster than a rip?

To each is own Ant, to me there about the same speed.

I usually prefer to go Audio Hijack Pro, then to Amadeus II for clean-up
( white noise, edit out or fade starts/finishes)
and then export to 192kbps MP3 for itunes.
More so AHP than MTR to Amadeus II, just because my setup
( good amplifier and speakers) I can pickup
points where to go exact , rather than just set
( Audio Track 1) to rip then whole thing and
    cleanup/convert later....
