How the hell do you add the quicktime effect filters to your video? I've tried but all I get is the effect and no video. What I did was drag my clip onto the timelime and then add the filter and selected the fire effect but when I encode it the video isn't there just the fire is there, can anyone help!

HI,
OK put your avi in video line 2. Then put a black video in video 1B. ( File - new - black video) Make the black video as long as your avi ( Rightmouse click- duration...).
Select the avi. video- rightmouse click- video options- transparacy ! Now your in the transparancy settings!!
KEY TYPE choose screen .
Under the SAMPLE Directory screen you see 3 icons : choose the first : half white /black. Press ok ......
To see your effects on your sreen: go to project-..project settings.. keyframe and rendering.... select preview ..to screen !!! Your avi....wiil burn!!! Marhart71
