Go to the tool section and download CDspeed. I looked in the tool section, but couldn't find the link. Someone else will point to it. If you have a lite-on drive, you could use kprobe.

  4. It should have been obvious to all that this dude did not want to listen to anyone when he said "he wants to use -R because they're cheaper" and the fact that he never told anyone that the +R works just fine at the beginning.

This guy is stuck with "the problem" regardless of what anyone tells him other than to have someone else do it for him, IMO.

couldn't agree more . I had a Sony DAVS400 and soon got rid of it. It's as if they have in built protection somehow . They can be really fussy at times over the slightest of things

if you want to use '-' then try running the problem DVD through DVDShrink@99.9% as a test. Output it as an ISO and then use DVDDecrypter to burn

Please note: You never told us what type of DVD you were using, as obviously price is a concern.

A lot of people dont understand that cheap media is a VERY real fact, and think that there must be an underlying problem elsewhere, that they can fix, instead of buying a better disc to begin with.

I'm 85% sure that this is a media issue....But, due to lack of a response to my question...

    Good luck.
