  1. Two questions:

1)I purchased an Epson R200 inkjet printer to replace an old HP inkjet printer, and due to my home network configuration I also needed to replace my old print server with a new Hawking HPS12U print server. When the Epson R200 is hooked up directly to my computer via its USB cable, I am able to access all of the bi-directional functions such as ink levels, nozzle clogs, etc. However, when I hook it up to the Hawking HPS12U print server via the USB cable, I lose such functionality (all of these items are grayed out in the printing menu). Are there any settings on either device that I can change that will allow me to access these bi-directional functions when hooked up to this print server?

2)What have you R200 owners with experience found to be the optimum printer settings (ALL OF THEM) for CD/DVD printing? Rather than experiment with such settings, I would rather attempt to use those that you have found work well.

    Thanks!

  2. As I understand the Epson status monitor only works with a locally attached (USB or parallel) printer.

    From Bodyslide's reference:
To monitor the status of a shared printer, EPSON Status Monitor 3 must be installed on each computer. EPSON Status Monitor 3 is automatically installed when you install the printer software for the first time.
