    I want to enable this option within MPC to get faster seeking of ASF/WMV files during playback but I don't wanna install the bloatware that is the full WMP package just to be able to do it. Does anyone know where I can download just the ASF Reader filter to be able to do this?

    Manual installation is not a problem if that's necessary.

    MPC should do it on its own. It could be the file(s) are not formatted correctly. You can use ASF Tools to verify and correct the files.
