    How to remove region code of dvd-writer or dvd-rom?

    I can only choose to change it 5 times, and i guess it will lock to the last changes.

    You would need a hacked version of the DVD-Rom/Writer firmware. There may be some other tool for this though.

    If I am not mistaken, you can actually rip any dvd from any region. The region checking is just for playing that dvd in a player (set top, software, etc). Is this not correct?

    Yes, I guess ripping is no problem. Playing only, I just think DVD Region+CSS FREE will do the trick.

    Yes firmware will do. Ill settle with software first.
