Hello everyone. Following the fine example of Epicurius8a, I've decided to introduce myself.
I'm extremely new to DVD burning, but I've done some encoding in the past with Virtualdub, TMPEGEnc and other such programs, when I used to encode anime.
I'm a native Ontarian, of Polish/Ukranian and Scottish background, living in Canada, and I attend the University of Toronto. I'm an undergraduate specialising in East Asian Studies, with a pre-modern China focus. Narrowly, my interests include Chinese language (classical and modern) and Chinese Philosophy, but I'm interested in many other aspects of East Asia as well, and much of my current research focuses on Chinese and Korean Buddhism. I also really like East Asian movies. ^__^
I'm a huge sports fan as well and enjoy playing games like Texas Hold 'Em.
I look forward to learning a lot from all the awesome people here -- Zippy P and budz. among others, have already been extremely helpful -- and helping out when I can, once I learn more about the complexities of burning DVDs. I'm always up for a good conversation, particularly relating to East Asia, so feel free to PM me or email me.

Hello Ma_Jie,
If you've looked around the OFF TOPIC area you already know about the colorful people here. Most of them are harmless, except for that one member who calls himself Sun_Tzu. He's a real militant guy!
