Hi, I am having a serious problem:
TMPEGENC 2.5 Plus gives me a critical error when I try to load an AVI encoded by xvid. I have set the vfapi plugin for direct show.
TMPEG seems to load the file and crash right afterward.
I can't find anything in the FAQs about a crash.
Thanks guys if you can help

Use VirtualDubMod to frameserve the video, extract the audio into wave form and use that for the audio source.
It should work. -
i'm not sure what you mean by frameserve, can you explain how I do that?
Is it File > Start Frameserver because I can't figure out what that does -
File > Startframeserver IIRC opens another box to which you just click on OK then another box asks for a filename. I normall name the framserver file as c:\filmname.vdr.avi. Save the file and leave vdub alone as another box will appear showing how many audio/video frames have been sent. Open TMPGenc and instead of loading the video file you have load the c:\filmname.vdr.avi file you created and is still open in vdub.
Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard. -
