Lots of problems backing up Sex in the City DVDs

Hello,

I am trying to back up my wife's Sex in the City collection, and none of the rip/transcode/burn all in one solutions seem to work. They rip/encode/burn just fine, but then when i watch the disc, it plays fine and then reaches a certain part and gets blocky and distorted and then usually freezes.

Specifically, I am working with Season 3 of Sex in the City. I burned all of the discs before i realized the problem. Disc one seems to always crash at episode 3.

I have a Lite-on DVD-ROM, and Optorite DD0401 DVD R+/-W (DMA is enabled on both DVD drives), I am using Fujifilm 8X DVD-R. I originally had the problem with DVDShrink, but I got the same results with DXDXCopy Express, and I tried a couple other methods and just ended up wasting a bunch of discs, which is why I came here before i tried anything else.

Any suggestions? I'm trying to find the simplest solution, quality is secondary.

I have backed up all 6 seasons w/o any probs. I also have used some of the Fuji 8x -R's. The player you are using might be too picky. What are you using to burn from Shrink? If Nero, then try creating iso image to burn with DVD Decrypter. If that doesn't work, try another media.

Forgot to mention: I am playing the discs on a JVC XV-S65GD and an Xbox with a Thomson drive.
I will try another media.
