how to make xvid playable on playstation 2?

I have several xvid files I want to put on a dvd to play on my playstation 2 what do I need to do to the files to make them playable and to get the most files on a dvd? I have read that vcd is not compatible with ps2 so I was wondering my options. Thanks

Convert it to a DVD.

ok I am trying to use cucosoft pro 5.03 to convert it to dvd. I select batch and to dvd then click add and select a file, then I click add again and select the second file and then it crashes, it tells me that Avi2MpegMain has encountered a problem etc.. the error info gives me

So I tried it again with only 1 file and I get a timeout error, I never had these problems with the older version I had so is there anyway to rollback and get an earlier version or does anyone know of a solution?

ir you're trying to play raw Xvid files you'll need to mod your ps2. if you're trying to convert them to DVD so u can play them on any standalond DVD player (including a ps2) just check out the Xvid/Divx/AVi to DVD conversion guides...

Probably a broken AVI, even if I wouldn't trust cucusoft - I suggest you read some guides on the subject, found left under convert. You'll find a majority uses only freeware apps.
