  1. Does anyone have any tips on how to get the maximum possible quality from a DVD to VCD conversion while also staying within the VCD standard?

    What I usually do is that I rip the vobs using DVD Decryter, create a .d2v file and load this along with a .wav of the audio into TMPGenc. I clip the borders on the video and then convert.

    I not really a newbie (I'm no expert either, though), so be as complicated as you like in replying.

    Frameserve the video file to TMPG with Virtualdub and use vdubs filters as opposed to using TMPG's?
