i am trying to do a windows xp repair install, but it requires the administrator password. i do not remember what the password is. what are my options?

It depends on the system. In a default installation, there is no password for the adminstrator. Have you tried no password yet?

Usually there is a blank password unless you specify otherwise when you do the initial install. -
i tried no password as well as any password i ever use and none of them worked.. maybe there is a problem deriving from the fact that i am using a windows xp home cd trying to repair a windows xp pro installation..
