how do i capture directly to mpeg or dvd??

need to know how to capture directly to mpeg 2 so i can make a dvd using a winfast 2000 capture card.

i may be mistaken but can i make an avi into a dvd with nero express??

like i dont wanna have to rencode as that will take ages.

If you use Nero Express to do mpeg from avi, it does exactly what you "dont wanna do" (encoding)
I dont know is your Winfast 2000 card capable of capturing directly in MPEG format. Some capture cards are (i.e. ATI AIW Radeon series), many are not. RTM or wait until someone else answers.

Capture to mpg2 with powervcr 2,windvr or pvr software that comes with the card.
