I am creating menus in DVD-LAB and I wish to use an image as a LINK. My problem is that I want the image to be VISIBLE when its link is SELECTED, and INVISIBLE otherwise. I am basically wanting to use a small image as an "overlay" or "highlight" on top of pre-defined spots on my background image.
Problem is, DVD-LAB wants to set the image/link to a "color" when it is ACTIVE, a color pre-defined in the LINK tab. I dont want to use these LINK colors, I only want the image to be VISIBLE or NOT-VISIBLE, with no changes to the image colors. How can I set this within DVD-LAB?
I am using DVD-LAB ver. 1.3

Select Invisible Normal on the Link tab.
Slide the bar all the way to the left on the Map tab.

I did follow the above procedure. I dont recall if I actually created a test set of DVD files or not but on MENU SIMULATION it still just showed either a "blank" or a colored square where the image should have been. Would the menu simulation not work properly while the finished DVD files would?

I forgot a step. Set transparency full, and drop shadow none:
It will show in dvdlab, but not if you preview, nor on the finished dvd.
Remember, if you set "Invisible normal", the image will be hidden too. It will only be visible when selected.Cheers, Jim

I did as described above and it still does not work. The image I am using will not display when I highlite or click on its "location". This happens in both "simulation" mode and in the created DVD files. I have set the TRANSPARENCY slider to both "full left" and "full right". I have turned off the DROP SHADOW option. I have set the "invisible" mode to INVISIBLE NORMAL.
I have tried the above settings on both a blank menu, and a menu with an image as the background, no difference. All I can get is the image displayed in green (or whatever the LINK-SELECTED color mode is set to).Shuttle SH55-J2-BK-V1 w/4.00gb Ram, INTEL i3-550, 3.2ghz, WIN7 home premium 64bit

If you are trying to Highlight the Image in full color just as your source is , I dont think you can.It will only highlight a Color over the Image. I maybe wrong.

I think you will have to use switched menus if you just want the image to be visible without any highlight colour.

canadateck is right. You will have to give it some sort of colormap to become visible when selected, or use switched menus.

Sorry about that.Cheers, Jim
