  1. Here's my issue i've been backing up various dvds that my friends made images of.. But the ONLY ones that will play in my standalone DVD player are ones that have an ifo file for each vob file. Most dvd's only have the main video_ts and the ts_1 or w/e. SO how can i create an ifo for each vob?
I've tried ifoedit to no avail.
ANY help ould be awesome i've gone through wayy to many blanks trying to figure this out on my own!
    Thanks!

    public domain movies I hope

If you want just the main movie, move just the main movie VOBs into a directory on their own, then follow this:
    http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/test.htm#ifoedit .

If you want something different, please list all of the files you have.
    If in doubt, Google it.

It plays fine in windvd... so obviously it IS valid

I don't understand why my DVD player seems to need all the ifo's... hasn;t anyone else had this problem before?

You'll need VTS_01_1.VOB for a start. Please list all the VOB files.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. VIDEO_TS
    VTS_01_0
    VTS_01_1
    VTS_01_2
    VTS_01_3
    VTS_01_4
    VTS_01_5

it came with an ifo for video_ts, and it made on for 01_0
    but the rest won't work

OK. You just need VTS_01_1.VOB -> VTS_01_5.VOB. Move the other two VOBs out of the directory then try it again.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  9. doesn't that just create on ifo for all the files though?

Would it just be easier to re-author the dvd?

Hey, if you don't want or rate my advice, you don't have to follow it.

The way I have shown you will take the main movie and create IFOs for it so that when you insert the DVD, the main movie plays on insert. If you want anything else, I suggest you BUY THE DVDS YOURSELF
    If in doubt, Google it.

  11. Don't get me wrong i very much appreciate your efforts
    and i'm dumbdounded personally
NO one else seems to have this problem... so i have no idea what to do

For 1-5 it made two ifo's
    video_ts
    and
    vts_01_0

    i'm so confused
because my dvd player seems to need ifo's for each individual vob file... but that doesn't make sense because no one else seems to need them... ?

When i try to play them it says no disk..
    which i don't understand
All i know is that ifo's tell the player language setting/ aspect, and chapter placement.. so why would it need one for EACH vob file?

That's exactly what it should create.

    You should have:
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB
    VTS_01_5.VOB
    If in doubt, Google it.

I think your problem is the way you're burning them. All files must be inside a VIDEO_TS folder on the disc. http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/NeroExpress.htm might be able to help you with that
    If in doubt, Google it.

    tyhe movies are PAL
they aren't named as "pal" but the ifo's say they are... maybe it was just a coincidence that those movies didn't have ifo's for each vob...
good god i just might be retarded
