  1. when trying to cut divx avi's i assume you need to get the bit rate correct. or can i just assign any reasonable bit rate and vdub will reencode the already encoded divx ??

how does vdubs cutting work ?

i cant seem to cut regualar DV avi's also, they end up as uncompressed AVI 5 ,6 times bigger than the original source. is there a decent vdub cutting tutorial ??

  3. I think I'm close. I opened the AVI, went to Video, select range, selected about half way through, then chose Save as AVI but it wanted 3.5GB for a 290MB file...

Ideally I need to split the MPEG if possible.

    Help?
