  1. Okay so i installed my DVD-Burner today and am ready to encode like theres no tomorrow :P But according to the guides, the authors tend to use programs like BeSweet and AVISynth. Are those programs necessary to convert .Avi -> MPEG-2? Can i just use TMPGEnc? Thanks

    If you're lucky, and the AVI is error free, and contains audio and video in formats TMPGEnc has no problems with...

    Not if there's no really serious error (usually resulting in a crash), or TMPGEnc can't understand the source format at all. You might end up with output out of sync, or no audio, or twice the expected length, or no video or any combination of above. But again, this might be your lucky day!

  7. In answere to your question, yes.

    if you are douing an avi to mpeg2 conversionu can use TMPGenc and convert th audtio to either PCM or MP2.

  8. Well currently im encoding a Gundam Seed ep. and it seems the same frame is being encoded over and over again. Could this be one of those problems? Thanks
