Backing up a corrupted VCD

Hi,

I have some VCDs that I can no longer find in stores. I would like to back them up. But I found out that the VCD is corrupted. It still plays, but I have to load it into the tray a couple of times before the system recognizes it.

When I tried making an image of it into my PC, and gives me an error message and shuts down the operation.

How do I save a copy of this movie? It does have to be a VCD again. I just want the movie playable.

You can use IsoBuster extract the mpeg from the vcd and
then burn it back to cd-r.

It was stuck at 3% for half an hour. It cannot be saved.

Find a white wax candle. Rub gently all over the media surface (not the top silly ), polish with a soft, lint free, cloth.
Try again.
I've ressurrected many (S)VCD/DVD that my kids have had "hands on" experience with.

Which is the surface and which is the top? Surface and top is the same to me.

Upon the first bad sector, a pop up screen showed up. Which did you choose out of the 4 options?
