  1. hey guys i got a question.... my friend is sending me a dvd ... and he had a problem ripping one of the small files that comes with the whole folder.
    the file was VTS_01_0.BUP... i was wondering, if anyone would know if that file is important its a small file around 80-90kb and was wondering if that wasnt there.. would dvd have ne problem running, OR if i used a different VTS_01_0.BUP would that work with that specific dvd or no.... or is there anyway i can reproduce one.... if u guys kno the answer.. plz help..

    The .bup files are backups of the IFOs. So that file is an exact copy of the VTS_01.IFO file, just with its extention renamed. So make a copy of that IFO and rename it and you are good to go.

    You probably can get away with not having the .bup file but some dvd players may experience problems and its such a trivial thing to replace it.
