Newbie question Can someone point me in the general direction of a Numpty guide on VHS tape to DVD conversion and the best way to do it.
Is it best to link a Video Cassette recorder to a DVD recorder or link the Video Cassette to my PC (how??) and burn that way.
I just want to transfer my old F1 video tape collection to DVD, not bothered about retaining any digital file on my PC or anything al though that would be nice if it's easy enough to do.![]()

Hello,
Here's a good place to start:
https://www.videohelp.com/capture
A capture card on a pc is easy to use and install if you've ever installed a pci card before. (some usb units can be good but I've only used a pci card).
They will record to avi/mpeg depending on the card and then you author and burn it to dvd.
A settop recorder is much easier but less flexible.
