Getting scenes from a dvd

Hi, im really new to this, but i need this for a presentation. I need to cut scenes from a dvd movie.... how do i do that? without copying the whole movie because i just need scenes....help will be much appreciated.... TIA

Reauthor mode.

Click on the main movie and drag it over to the left side. Click "START END". Then you can select how many chapters you want.

Or you can use dvddecrypter in ifo mode and select just the chapters you want and rip it.

but it seems like when i get to using virtual dub it says no video frames found in mpeg file i do believe i followed all the instructions as it is stated there.....i mean when i click on open file in virtual dub, i cant see the ,vob in the browse file box.....help will be much appreciated....i need to convert it to avi that is why.... cause ill be editing it in adobe later on....
