OK...I wanna know if my PC is using it's full capabilities...graphically and otherwise. I dl Benchmark5 and got a score of 1140...seems pretty weak considering I have an ATI 9600 with 256mb of video RAM. Anybody have an opinion?

Benchmarking seems to be a big thing in the gamer community, like a quarter mile time would be in a car forum. I guess here, it's not a big deal.

Many benchmark programs are artificial, meaning that the tests and scores they give don't compare to real-world application. The video encoding benchmark I posted is a real-world application for this forum at least. Another one you could try is to time how long it takes to uncompress a RAR or ZIP file, but I can't recall if any programs have timers to show you how long it took. There are also some gaming ones that pace you through the same exact path each time and record lowest framerate but I would think those are the hardest to control.
