capturing from pioneer laserdisc to pc via canopus advc-100

Ok I feel dumb for asking this question....I borrowed a laserdisc player so I can convert my collection of Little Rascals and Looney Tunes Golden Collection, etc to DVD. I have the audio input of the canopus to the audio output of the laserdisc player. The video input of the canopus to the video output of laserdisc player. I'm not getting any audio when I'm capturing. Would a receiver have to be hooked up to the laserdisc so I can get audio? I'm thinking not but as I mentioned I'm not getting any audio when I capture to my pc. I'm tired and can't think anymore.

Any help will be appreciated as always. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind I found the problem....the audio aux was set to on.....on the laserdisc player.....

One question though, why did you need to borrow a laserdisc player ? I just assumed that if you have the items on laserdisc, that you'd already have a laserdisc player of your own ... or not ...

ummm..... because my laserdisc player broke a long time ago, ever thought of that!! it's senseless to purchase a new laserdisc player because it's too expensive....i think pioneer still manufactures them but it's a combo player that they incorporate with their dvd players....the one i'm using is a laserdisc/karaoke/cd/cdv machine....

at least i didn't have to rent the laserdisc player like I had to find a shop to rent me a betamax machine last year.....

as for calling me a NOOB.
