The output of winavi is DVD ready files, yes? By that I mean a VIDEO_TS folder containing bup, ifo and vob files.

If so, how large is each dvd that you created? About 2 GB I hope or you won't fit two on a DVD.

TMPGEnc DVD Author will accept your two dvd's (use the add dvd video button) and will create a menu and burn it to disk. 30 day trial available.

Either that or convert the AVI files to MPEG-2 using http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm (or any of the conversion guides in the guides section) and then into TMPGEnc DVD AUthor or similar authoring program. The benefit of re-encoding is that you can specify a custom bitrate to ensure that both files will fit on the 1 DVDR.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I just used Virtualdubmod and ripped the audio to wav then used TMPGEnc Plus and used the wizard to control the file sizes then demuxed the mpeg2 to m2v and mpa and now im using dvdlab pro to finish the job
Seedin and encoding... Healthy pc life :)
