Doing a basic dvdrip with smart ripper and throwing the ifo and vobs into DVDx keeps giving me resulting mpegs that are the quality I want for subbed rips, but the subtitles the majority of the time flash once as they appear. I was wondering if anyone's run across this, I havent seen anything lately in the forum concerning it.
It's happened with a few subbed movies, namely ghost in the shell and vampire hunter d.
Any tweaks or anything? Or should I bail on DVDx and use another method for my subtitled movies?

Use Xmpeg 4.2A
It's better than DVDx.
DVDx it's still in it's infancy stage. Too many bugs.

Sorry, I shoulda mentioned I was taking it to SVCD. As far as I know xmpeg is for mpeg1.

You are wrong about Xmpeg you can use a plugin like CCE to make SVCDs but i dotn recomend the Xmpegs now...they are not stable and lots of bugs Try an old version like FlaskMpeg XiS Expert Edition 3.0e....much stable
