  1. i have an avi file that i am trying to encode with tmpegnc , everything goes fine except at the end when i get to the end , the preview window stays black and everything freezes.......

    Make sure the Option=>Environmental Setting=>VFAPI Plugin=>Direct Show priority is the highest priority.

    And the source file is in a root directory, as in C:\, and not C:\blah\blah\blah?

    Use GSpot to get the details of the AVI and post them here - someone might be able to spot something...
