  1. Newbie question . . .

After days and days of headaches I managed to get svcds to play in my Sony DVP-S535D DVD player. The only problem is that menus are not showing up. I can see the menu when I play the CD on my PC with WinDVD, but not on my DVD player.

I checked the instruction manual to make sure that PBC was enabled, but it still doesn't work. Anybody have any suggestions?

    thanks

  3. What program are you using? I tried nero first and couldn't get anything to play. I used Ulead DVD PictureShow
and it worked flawlessly. I also am using the Sony DVP-S560D.

  4. I've tried Nero and VCDImager. Same results for each.

  5. Ok, I played around with xml settings for vcdimager and still had no luck with svcd menus. I tried the same layout using vcd and it worked perfectly.

I guess my options are to use svcds without menus or vcds with menus. . .

  6. Same problem with SONY DVP-NS900V. No PBC mode for SVCDs.

@Clear_Signal: What does the directory structure of your working SVCD (authored with Ulead DVD Picture Show) look like (directory names and filenames)?

Is Ulead DVD Picture show a complete (S)VCD/DVD authoring tool? Sounds more like a Photo CD tool
