  1. First of all to the ones who said its impossible, I did the impossible. Tools needs for job include: Adobe Premiere, Ligos, VirtualDub & the most important components codecs,codecs,codecs!!!   2. If you have the codecs installed why couldn't you just load the avi directly into the encoder and forget the Premier crap?

    You can - I've done it many times - don't know who told Dobal it was impossible, but he should stop listening to them.

  6. Because the encoder (VirtualDub) doesn't have support/ conversion to MPEG1 or 2, That is what Premiere is for. By the way you can use Ligos to encode to MPEG 1 or 2.

  8. that like old news man....people haveing troble encodeing Divx is because there codecs are outdated and need to be updated

    DivX isn't really that outdated.. besides that's what DivX 4.11 is.

    Also to Dobal, virtualdub isn't the only encoder for divx, however there's no problem actually doing the encode to mpeg, the problem is the quality of the mpeg, which is always dissapointing when compared to a rip from DVD to vcd compared to a rip from a divx of that DVD to vcd. To be quite honest I don't see why you needed premiere, as a virtualdub to tmpgenc (and even a divx to tmpgenc) will work just as well.

  10. i didnt mean the they were like really old i mean new codec are comeing out and most people are useing the new one and people download movies most of the time the codec the person used is the latest one but the person who downloaded the movie has an older version and they have difficulties on converting it
