  1. Hola friends,
    A few questions before buying the full version:

    1. Can SVCD2DVD support external subtitles?
    I mean can I import XVID (one ore more) and stick a subtitle to the out-put DVD created by SVCD2DVD? I didn’t see any setting for subtitles.
    2. What about DVD out-put size? How can I tell this tool to always out-put to a DVD-R of 4.7GB? For example even if I input more than one file.
    I did a test with the trial version and input 3 XVID of around 700MB, I ended with a folder of 7.3GB~, more than I can burn...
    3. How can you compare quality as for commercial encoders as Cinema, Canopus etc…?

    Thank you very much for your time,
    JB

    Here are the answers:

    1. No. No subtitles are supported currently.
    2. Not currently but I am working on this. In your test choosing the "SVCD" AVI to DVD profile would have improved things.
    3. re-encoding is only done when converting AVIs or when changing PAL to NTSC. In these cases, to compare with other encoders is left to you. IMHO the quality is "good" to "very good" for most purposes and the speed as better than most commercial encoders. If quality is your biggest requirement then CCE is better (as most people consider this the best out there) but is a lot slower and more expensive!

    What did you think of the quality?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Great job indeed mate! Keep it up.

    When do you estimate we will have the option to determine a pre-size of the out-put DVD?
    Make it real to choose a DVD size of 4.7GB or other, rather than running DVDShrink after...
    Another VERY VERY important issue especially for foreign loyal users that use your tool is the ability to add and configure external subtitle!!! Please please make both happen ASAP.

    May the force b with you mate
