I recently moved to the States, bringing some DVDs from Europe. Now I want to buy a good DVD player that gives me the opportunity to play anything you can buy or burn on a disc. So far it seems that the Pioneer DV-444 meets all requirements.
The only thing I am missing in all the posts about the 444 are reports about if it plays Region Code 2 DVDs, especially the European PAL coded? Is there a region code hack available?
Thanks for answering...!

What I've heard is that it is possible to remove some jumper inside the device to make it region free.
