The link for the speakers says 'Free FedEx Saver Shipping,' which should be fine unless he's in a rush.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  2. I'm in no rush for the speakers, but I fully intend to look closely at all shipping costs before buying and checking around if necessary. I was planning to check into a different keyboard too. I have a multimedia keyboard similar to that and use maybe one of the extra buttons on it. Complete waste of features for me. I doubt she'd use it anymore than I do. I do like the way the logitech boards feel though. I'm still trying to do some tweaking to lower cost as much as possible. Also do you think its is necessary to get a Wi-fi enabled board or just put another brand of wireless adapter in it later? It would have to be networked with her mother's computer which is a Dell and would have to take a normal wireless card anyway. Also are there any routers that have a wireless and hardwire connection? Since the modem is right next to her mom's computer it would be easiest to plug an ethernet cable to her current adapter and run the new PC on wireless but I have my doubts that they make such a setup. Anyone recommend some good wireless network equipment?

Yes, most routers have both wireless and regular 100Mbs plug in twisted pair ports.

Look for monitors locally. Here's a great site that scours all the local ads in your area.

  4. Unfortunately that site turns up nothing for me. I'll look around myself but there are virtually no decent electronics stors near me. I'm planning on looking at some stuff locally though since shipping is so high on large items like that.

  6. I think I'd rather build it myself. I'd like the experience of it and I'd like to know exactly what I'm putting in it.

  7. By the time I configure one of those the way I want it I'll be paying even more anyway.
