  1. I purchased the latest Nero 6 and when I try to copy from a DVD-R in my DVDrom to the burner I get a message saying (cannot copy this disc to DVD). The disc isn't copy protected or defective. When I click on disc info it shows a blank source disc. If I put the source disc in the burner and hit copy it works and shows the DVD-R content. The same problem occurs on every computer that has Nero 6 installed. I was using Nero 5.5 and didn't have a problem with this.

  3. Yes. Everything is setup right. Nero 6 just can't read the content on the source disc unless it is in the burner.

    Hello,

Can you play it in a normal dvd player??? It sounds like it isn't finalized if you can't play it in a dvdrom but the burner will play it.

  5. Welcome to the wonderful world of Nero Digital Rights Management. Take a look at which processes are running, if you see NeroCheck.exe you have DRM telling you what you can and cannot do.

I tried to copy my Nero CD; while it was verifying the copy it gave an error (nero.exe is different). I did a compare on the original nero.exe and copy and the data had changed at 2 different addresses. It didn't do that on other copies I'd made.

Who was talking about copying a Nero CD ?

I thought they're talking about copying a DVD-R using the Nero software, aren't we ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I really dont like Nero.

I have a special Plextor edition (to go with my Plextor drive)

I only use it to make images (which i then burn with Decrypter)

Have you tried ripping the contents of the source disc to a file on your HD, and then getting Nero to use the HD files as source?

...or make an image first, then burn image, using your writer only. Disc to disc copy is never a good idea (in reality) anyway.
