I have all 45 Twilight Zone DVD's (all DVD5). They are not in order by episode#/air date. I would like to redo them so that they are, and compress so that I have far fewer than 45 DVDR's. So far, I have the first 20 discs ripped to file mode with decrypter on my hard drive.
Originally, they are either 3 (2 half hr eps + 1 50 min. ep) or 4 (4 half hr eps) per disc. I know that this is entirely subjective, but when squeezing more on a disk (reauthored-movie only), what compression % would you look for and what aec quality setting would you use in shrink with that %. Just trying to hear out some options, that's all, thx much.

In the past I would author the "oversized" disc with TDA in about 5.5-6GB size range (using original VOBs of episodes). Then I would reencode video with Cinema Craft Encoder at 4-pass VBR with appropiate bitrate range (depending what and how many audio tracks I would keep), this way I would have it at possibly best quality, but its a lengthy process... which nowaday can be avoided with simple DVD9 blanks and DL writer for less than $100, so today I would just author new DVD9 disc with some siple menu and as many original episode's VOBs as it would fit on the disc
