    i had giant installed a few months back. if i remember correctly, i got rid of it because you couldn't remove it from the system tray. or it was something else stupid like that which irritated me enough to uninstall it.

    I will say I'm coming across that myself, although I haven't done a lot of looking into it. I do know that I've turned off everything I could find in the application itself. gcasserv.exe is listed in MSCONFIG. You should be able to uncheck that if you don't want it running.

    i thought of that too.. i was able ot remove it from startup with msconfig.. it doesnt take up that much memory anyway.. not like all the other XP memhogs i try to keep uner 30 running processes at one time. hover around 26 most of the time.
