Hi, all. Not sure if this is the right place for this question but... I recently upgraded to the latest free Real Player and now my old .mpeg vids (which used to play fine on the last RP) won't play correctly -- a file that's 20+ minutes long shows up as being less than 1 minute. Same problem with Winidows Media Player. Anyone run into this issue before or know how to fix it? Thanks.

Install MediaPlayerClassic and use it to play your MPEG files. It has built in codecs to play MPEGs and usually works quite well.

Thanks, Soopafresh. Worked great on the mpgs -- only one thing. A handful of other vid files play upside down(!?) Any ideas?

Dump Realplayer. I have had it screw up my computers more than once. It likes to change things around, even when uninstalled. Use Real Alternative for real videos. It's freeware. And no spyware.

    I would second MediaPlayerClassic, also.

VLC media Player and Zoom Player are also good.

The upside down videos may be caused by codecs interfering with each other. Do a forum search for 'upside down video' and you may get some solutions.

I'm having similar probs, but installing Media Player 6.4 didn't fix it..
Nothing will play MPEG-1 or 2 on this tower, except QT 6

programs that play audio when a Mpeg clip is loaded
    VLC
    Power DVD
    Media Player 10
    or Player 2 (6.4)
    Real One
    Win DVD

fresh installs after removing dvd player software hasn't worked
